Everyone here at SpinalCure was overjoyed to hear that our Ambassador Sam Bloom won gold at the 2020 AmpSurf ISA World Para Surf Championship in La Jolla, California.

“It’s such an awesome event and the best part is meeting incredible people from all over the world who love the ocean and surfing as much as I do,” said Sam Bloom. “The Australian team came 7th out of 22 countries, not a bad effort considering there were only 5 of us competing”

“I also want to thank my sponsors because it would not be possible without your support!” Sam added.

ISA President Fernando Aguerre said the event is getting bigger every year.

“A record-breaking 131 athletes from varying backgrounds, religions, races, and social classes united to celebrate a sport that has changed all of the competitors’ lives for the better,” said Aguerre.

“At SpinalCure, we are honoured to have Sam Bloom as our ambassador”, said CEO Duncan Wallace. “Her resilience and incredible achievements have been hard-won, making them all the more extraordinary.

“A big thank you too to Sam’s husband Cam — an essential part of team Bloom,” Wallace added.
