QBI Founding Director and founding Director of SpinalCure, Professor Perry Bartlett has been awarded the prestigious Distinguished Achievement Award by the Australian Neuroscience Society (ANS).
The occasional award is granted in honour of an outstanding contribution by an individual to neuroscience in Australia, and to the ANS.
Prof Bartlett has been responsible for a series of ground-breaking discoveries in neuroscience including his laboratory’s discovery in 1992 of the presence of stem cells in the adult brain that had the capacity to produce new neurons.
Proudly supported by SpinalCure, Prof Bartlett’s current work with acute SCI is close to be trialled in the clinic.
