Partnership with Australian Turf Club helps to raise over $60,000

Earlier this year, SpinalCure was chosen as the official Charity Partner of the Year by the Australian Turf Club (ATC). The ATC places significant and genuine emphasis on community engagement, partnering with charities to provide opportunities for fundraising.

Through this partnership we have raised more than $60,000 through collections at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens racecourses, saddle cloth auctions, pin sales and other events.

The Club was also immensely supportive in helping SpinalCure hold their inaugural Racing for Research Lunch at Royal Randwick Racecourse.

The event brought together more than 100 long-standing and passionate SpinalCure supporters and raised much needed funds for research.

Given the unfortunate but very real connection between equestrian sports and spinal cord injury we are grateful for high-level of support SpinalCure receives from some of the racing industry’s most notable riders and representatives. The partnership with the ATC has been a significant step in the right direction for helping those injured while participating in one of our nation’s most cherished sporting traditions.

Our sincere gratitude to the ATC, for their ongoing support and for working diligently with us to ensure that all events and donation collections ran without a hitch. Thank you also to all those who kindly volunteered to help out with collections at the races.
