Celebrating a Fundraising Milestone at the Sydney Everest Carnival Long Lunch

Celebrating a Fundraising Milestone at the Sydney Everest Carnival Long Lunch

What a spectacular afternoon celebrating style, racing, and philanthropy! With over 450 guests in attendance, this year’s Sydney Everest Carnival Long Lunch was the biggest ever and marked our third year as the ATC Foundation's charity partner.

Importantly, we are thrilled to announce that over $62,210 was raised - a fundraising milestone for the event. This was largely attributed to the outstanding raffle ticket sales led by our amazing team of volunteers. These funds will go a long way in accelerating our life-changing spinal cord injury research programs. This includes our Project Spark clinical trials which are being conducted by researchers at the Spinal Cord Injury Research Centre at NeuRA and the IVig trial led by researchers at the University of Queensland.

It was an honour to share our passion for finding a cure for spinal cord injury. A showcase of the main highlights and memorable moments from the day feature in the video below.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the ATC Foundation, SpinalCure Ambassador and Board Member of the Australian Turf Club Angela-Belle McSweeney (the visionary behind the Long Lunch), as well as our MCs including SpinalCure Ambassador Kerri-Anne Kennerley, and Channel 7 Sunrise Hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington. Our heartfelt appreciation also extends to our inspiring panel featuring Australian Jockeys Association Chairman Craig Staples and Project Spark trial participant Sheree Palmer, all the event sponsors, our community ambassadors, the dedicated ATC Team, our enthusiastic and loyal volunteers, and finally Ricki-Lee for her show-stopping performance.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this event a tremendous success.
