After 20 years of frontline police work Allan Sparkes grabbed the headlines for his heroic rescue of a child swept down a flooded storm water drain – an act of bravery for which he won the Cross of Valour. Allan’s brother David, and a close friend, Alan McCabe both suffered spinal cord injuries playing rugby so our search for a cure is a goal dear to his heart. At Allan’s suggestion ICAP has made a very welcome donation to SpinalCure.
