Through the successful lobbying of SCA, the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority has given $50,000 pa over two years (2002-2003) to the Prince of Wales Medical Research Institute, Sydney. Chief Investigator, Dr Janet Keast’s project is titled Remodelling of lumbosacral autonomic pathways after spinal injury: the role of semahorins and netrins. This project focuses on the nerve pathways that control the urinary bladder, lower bowel and reproductive organs.
