Carey Long City2Surf Perth 2009

In August 2009 Carey Long, wife of PGA golfer and Spinal Cure Australia patron Michael Long ran in the 12 kilometre City to Surf race in Perth and raised a much-needed $1100.16 for Spinal Cure Australia.

We would like to sincerely thank you Carey for not only a fantastic effort in running the 12 kilometres, but organising sponsorship to raise these funds.

Michael Long became a patron of Spinal Cure Australia after breaking his neck in the surf in Western Australia back in December 1999. Fortunately Michael didn’t damage his spinal cord and has gone on to play golf professionally all around the world.

Both Michael and Carey (pictured) have been great supporters of Spinal Cure Australia since their involvement and we thank them sincerely for all their efforts over a long period of time.
