The devotion of the supporters of our annual charity golf day was in clear evidence. For the previous two days, Sydney had been subject to heavy rain and the deluge continued on our big day. Camden Lakeside Country Club was soaked but the golf went ahead and of the 160 registered players only 8 failed to show.

Although the rain was heavy early in the morning, the sun did dry out players intermittently and many good scores were recorded.

The team from Quick Plumbing (group4): Tom Quick, Rod Fenton, Al Hooper and Chris Raftey won the Ambrose event with a score of 54 1/8 just pipping Gledhill Constructions and Quick Plumbing (group 1) team on 54 1/2.

A consolation was nearest-the-pin competition which was won by Steve Connors from Gledhills.

Our sincere thank go out to Robert and Kelly McCann whose hard work makes the day so successful.

This year $35,130 was raised taking the total over the eight years to $253,947. This represents a very substantial contribution to spinal injury research.
